Bent On Cooking is a premier personal chef service. Chef Rose Maria “Chef Rosie” has owned and operated Bent On Cooking since 1998. She is a “Special Diet” expert, certified RAW, member of the American Personal Chef Association for over 12 years. She was trained by professionals, her family was in the restaurant and entertainment industries.

The primary cheffing is meal replacement, cooked in the clients home after she creates the menu and shops for all the groceries. The meals are individually prepared, pallet specific. Packaged for the refrigerator or freezer, re-heated in the microwave or the oven. Meals that save time, are healthy, clients enjoy in the comfort of their home, and that are affordable.

Expanding in 2004 to include in-home catering. Small events are a perfect with a personal chef. The meals are created in the clients home with a personal touch. The guests enjoy the chef experience, we encourage questions and even share our secrets. Bent On Cooking is a full service caterer, servers, bartenders, and pass-around servers. An event can include service, food and set-up of a buffet, or simple as the food.

During the Summer of 2005, Chef Rosie was the vegetarian chef at the Balboa Cooking School, at the Prado Restaurant. Enjoying the experience, she started in-home private cooking lessons. Cooking lessons are designed just for you, privately or with friends and family, also for corporate team building events. Classes are held in her state of the art kitchen in Poway, or in your home. Classes are specific to an ingredient, to a technique or a 6 course dinner party. You name it, and Chef Rosie creates it. The menu will include running a “green kitchen”, knife skills, cooking techniques and tips for safety. Most of all the classes are easy and fun. Getting everyone involved a wonderful way to celebrate an event or just hang out together in the kitchen.

Chef Rosie’s business model is centered around the best ingredients, seasonal produce and healthy meals that can be enjoyed in the serenity of home.

Chef Rosie got her training from professional, her family was in the food service industry. Her experience spans from being certified RAW/Vegan, to gourmet. She taught at St.Claire’s Retreat in Santa Cruz, the vegetarian chef at Balboa Cooking School at the Prado in San Diego.

Chef Rosie is a “special diet expert”, her career has been centered on healing from the farm not the pharmacy. She creates great tasting meals, for weight loss, diabetes, heart healthy, gluten free, raw/live vegan, and many more.
